Brown Bag Lunch β From Large-Scale Prototypes to Small Village Microgrids
Please join ACEP at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 6 for a discussion with Ben Blainedavis, a renewable energy engineer and project manager from the Lower 48 who is keenly interested in learning more about Alaskaβs microgrid challenges and opportunities.
Blainedavis will present βA Snapshot of Renewables: From Large-Scale Prototypes to Small Village Microgridsβ in the BP Design Theater, Room 401 of the Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility on the Fairbanks campus. If you canβt make it in person, on Zoom.
While in Alaska, Blainedavis will meet with a range of organizations in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
His presentation and discussion will include a variety of topics, including: how the tallest turbine in North America constructed; the limitations of the U.S. wind industry and whatβs next for the post-production tax credit market; Kilowatts for Humanity and how it designs and implements projects; and the intersection of large, small, and on- and off-grid resources.
