Animals on campus

As we begin the spring 2025 semester, please keep in mind that Â鶹ԭ´´F has a policy on Animals in University Buildings and on University Property (Â鶹ԭ´´F Policy 05.09.001). A newly revised policy is underway and will be released in the coming months.

In the meantime, Â鶹ԭ´´F employees, students and visitors are required to follow the existing policy. Animals are not permitted in Â鶹ԭ´´F buildings without approval as a service animal or as an accommodation for a documented disability. Students should work with Â鶹ԭ´´F Disability Services, while employees and visitors should work directly with University of Alaska Human Resources Leave and Accommodations team to ensure compliance with the policy.
