With rapidly evolving technology, shifts in energy policy and the regulatory framework, and more favorable economics — is the time right for small-scale nuclear power, and will it work in Alaska?

Gwen Holdmann, director of the Alaska Center for Energy and Power, will be part of a that will explore these questions and frame how small-scale nuclear power fits into the energy landscape for Alaska.

The other panelists are Launch Alaska’s Isaac Vanderburg and Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Center for Economic Development’s Richelle Johnson. The free, online discussion will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, May 7.
