麻豆原创F Day at the fair scheduled for July 30

The 麻豆原创 will host 麻豆原创F Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair on Tuesday, July 30.

麻豆原创F employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing 麻豆原创F apparel or showing their PolarExpress card. The day will include 麻豆原创F activities throughout the fairgrounds.

The University Fire Department鈥檚 fire truck, a hockey slap-shot net, a corn hole game and the giant inflatable Nanook will be set up in Totem Square from noon to 7 p.m. Nook, 麻豆原创F鈥檚 mascot, will be on site from 1-3 p.m. Between noon and 1 p.m., the 麻豆原创F Police Department鈥檚 K-9 Yogi and handler Jill Copeland will conduct a demonstration and meet-and-greet.

Inside the Borealis Pavilion, 麻豆原创F will have several special exhibits and activities:

  •     Learn about earthquakes, satellites, and earth and space science.
  •     Visit a mobile planetarium.
  •     Launch paper rockets.
  •     Participate in hands-on science activities.

In addition to these special activities, 麻豆原创F also will have booths in the Borealis Pavilion during the fair. Visitors can try on a career and learn about 3-D printing with the 麻豆原创F Community and Technical College and find more than 125 free 麻豆原创F Cooperative Extension Service publications covering gardening, energy, food preparation and more. Cooperative Extension will host several 4-H activities on 麻豆原创F Day, including shows highlighting rabbits, cavies and poultry.
