Â鶹ԭ´´F was the first university in Alaska to achieve accreditation in 1934 and was reaffirmed in February of 2021. The current accreditation cycle is in its sixth year, and we are preparing our report for the Policies, Regulations, and Financial Review (PRFR).

Academic Program Review at Â鶹ԭ´´F operates on a four‑year cycle that integrates program learning outcomes assessment with a structured mid‑cycle check‑in during year two. The process emphasizes continuous improvement, data‑informed evaluation, and alignment with institutional accreditation standards. Programs entering their development year have access to targeted resources and support designed to help faculty strengthen outcomes assessment, refine curriculum, and prepare for a successful full review in the next cycle.

RSI refers to the meaningful, instructor‑initiated engagement required in online and asynchronous courses to support student learning and maintain federal compliance. Â鶹ԭ´´F’s updated RSI policy was approved at the February 2 meeting and will go into effect during Summer 2026, Second Session.
